I got involved in the Edmonton Poetry scene in 2014. I competed in the Breathe In Poetry Slam Finals and in the Canadian Individual Poetry Slam at Verses Festival in 2016. I have also performed for the Imagination Miscellany, CHEW, SMUTfest by Prairie Oyster Entertainment & Education, Astral Harvest Music & Arts Festival and at Nextfest. I have done visual showcases of my artistic work at SMUTfest, Sewing Machine Factory & at Remedy Cafe on 124 st in Edmonton.
I have an educational background in Disability Studies from Grant MacEwan University & the University of Calgary. Prior to exploring arts, I considered studying Public Health & Social Policy and it is still an area of great passion to me. However, my experiences have guided me to realize I can be of more service in the immediacy by addressing societal impressions of marginalization, especially in regards to disability and LGBTQIA2S issues. Real change happens from the bottom up in the expansion of individual perspectives and the strengthening of community. It is also my goal to help uplift and encourage others who struggle with similar issues as me through my work. I have faced unique challenges with my mental health and reclaiming my own form of spirituality and paganism. I do not promise perfection, only authenticity and a hopeful willingness to growth.

"I know love is not enough.
I know action is not enough.
I know resistance is not enough.
I know truth is not enough.
But together they make something else. "
